Filter Bag
Filter bags are cylindrical fabric filter elements (felt or woven textiles) used inside baghouse dust collectors to remove dust from industrial gas streams. Materials include polyester, aramid, PTFE-treated fabric, etc., chosen by application temperature and dust characteristics.
Micron Rating1 to 10 microns
Temperature ResistancePolyester: up to 130°C. Aramid / Nomex: up to 200°C. PTFE: up to 260°C
Working Principle
Dust-laden air enters the baghouse and passes through the fabric bag. Particles are captured on the outside surface of the bag (surface loading) or within the fiber matrix. Clean air exits through the fabric. During cleaning cycles (pulse-jet, shaker, or reverse-air), dust cakes are dislodged from the bags into the hopper.
